Angel Henderson McDonald

Angel has served at Mother's Refuge since October 2002. She received her Bachelors degree in Psychology with Honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is planning to pursue her Masters Degree. Angel is the proud mother of two children, Jordan and Jarred. She is a busy mom with active children involved in sports, cheerleading and church activities. Her husband, David, is a CPA and a Managing Consultant with BKD, LLP.

Angel serves as the assistant to our Executive Director, Robert Zornes. Her duties include grant writing and monitoring program outcomes, maintaining administrative records, payroll, recording donations, sending receipts to donors, and numerous other duties. As Program Director she initiates and supervises the implementation of multiple grant programs and our residential services. She supervises all direct-care staff and houseparents.

Angel has been a tremendous asset to Mother's Refuge since joining our staff. Her efficiency helps our program and office run smoothly. Angel has worked with countless donors and volunteers during the past seven years. They enjoy her outgoing personality and find working with her extremely pleasant.
