* Gift cards are used to purchase needed items or provide entertainment and fun for our clients. Our girls also enjoy receiving free passes to concerts, plays, Royals baseball and other events in the Kansas City area that teens would love to attend.

*Please note that because of safety regulations and our state license we can NO LONGER ACCEPT used car seats, cribs and used stuffed animals & toys.
However, we do need about 35 new car seats and Pack n Play portable cribs per year. We like to give each new mom a new car seat and Pack n Play portable crib when they leave our residential program.
From time to time we accept used items. We strive to be good stewards of donated items. If donations cannot be utilized by our residents or aftercare/transitional living clients, we donate the items to other young mothers or families in need or share them with other area organizations serving needy people. Occasionally, excess or unused items may be sold and the proceeds used to provide support for our residential program at Mother's Refuge. We are very appreciative of our friends that help and assist our girls and their babies.
Each May we host an annual benefit sale. We accept items for our sale during the month of May. Due to the lack of storage, we are NOT able to accept garage sale items throughout the year. Plese watch our web-site for the upcoming dates of our sale. We will also need volunteers. This is a wonderful way to help provide for young moms and their babies.
