Your time, talents, and presence can make a lasting difference for a young mom and her baby.

At Mother’s Refuge, volunteers are an important part of the community surrounding the young moms and babies we serve. Whether you have a few hours to give, a skill to share, or a heart for walking alongside others, there is a place for you here.

Your Presence Matters

The young women we serve need positive role models who will encourage them as they learn to parent, pursue their goals, build healthy relationships, and create a stable future for themselves and their children.

By showing up consistently and sharing your time, talents, and encouragement, you have the opportunity to model what it looks like to care for others and be part of a community. Our hope is that the support our moms experience today inspires them to give back to others someday, too.

There are many ways to get involved at Mother’s Refuge. Some opportunities involve working directly with our moms and babies, while others help keep our homes, programs, and organization running smoothly.

Support Moms & Babies:

  • Mentorship
    Build a consistent, encouraging relationship with one of our young moms as she works toward her goals and builds a future for her family.

  • Babysitting
    Spend time caring for our little ones so their moms can attend classes, appointments, work, and other important activities.

  • Tutoring
    Help a mom work toward her educational goals through homework assistance, studying, and academic encouragement.

  • Provide Transportation
    Help moms get to appointments, work, school, classes, and other important destinations.

Share Your Skills:

  • Class Teacher
    Have knowledge or experience you would love to share? Volunteers can help teach classes and practical life skills that equip our moms for the future.

  • Office Help
    Support the behind-the-scenes work that keeps Mother’s Refuge moving through administrative projects, organization, and other office needs.

Help Around Our Homes:

  • House Parent Helper
    Come alongside our house parents and staff by helping with activities, meals, household needs, and the everyday life of our maternity home.

  • Maintenance & Repairs
    Put your skills to work helping us care for the homes and spaces our families depend on.

  • Yard Work & Gardening
    Help us create welcoming, well-maintained outdoor spaces through seasonal yard work, landscaping, gardening, and other projects.

Engage Your Community:

  • Host a Fundraiser
    Bring your friends, workplace, church, school, or community together to support Mother’s Refuge. From creative fundraisers to donation drives, there are many ways to make an impact.
